2012 Senate Bill 6123: Creating "National Rifle Association" special license plates

Creates special license plates with the National Rifle Association logo for an initial fee of $40, and a renewal fee of $30. The fees collected are to support firearm safety and education as part of the hunter education training program. (Companion Bill: HB 2202).   Official Text and Analysis.

Creates the National Rifle Association special license plate, displaying the NRA logo. In addition to all fees and taxes that are required to be paid for a vehicle registration, a fee of $40 is charged for an original issue NRA special license plate, and a $30 fee is charged for renewal of a special license plate. Proceeds from the NRA special license plate are to support firearm safety and education as part of the Department of Fish and Wildlife's hunter education training program. The NRA special license plate is exempt from the temporary moratorium on special license plates.
