2007 Senate Bill 5215: Modifying provisions with regard to recreational activities on certain lands.
Introduced by Sen. Ken Jacobsen, (D-Seattle) (D) on January 12, 2007
To modify liability provisions for land owners who allow members of the general public to use the land for outdoor recreation activities. Generally, land owners are not liable for injuries sustained by people if the owner does not charge a fee for use of the land. This bill would expand the definition of “fee” to include daily, seasonal, or an annual charge for access to the property where the revenue is used to cover land management costs.   Official Text and Analysis.
