2007 Senate Bill 5214: Concerning specialized forest products.

To create new regulations on the harvesting of huckleberries. The bill prohibits the harvesting of more than 3 gallons without first obtaining a permit from the county. The bill also prohibits the use of rakes or mechanical devices that can damage the huckleberry bush. It goes on to require any huckleberries seized by the court that were taken from federally recognized American Indian tribe lands be returned to the tribe. To specify that a person does not need a written authorization, sales invoice, bill of lading, or specialized forest products permit or true copy thereof to store, at that person's residence or property, ten or fewer gallons of huckleberries for noncommercial use.
