(1) Adds the Child Study and Treatment Center of the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) to list of entities that are generally subject to provisions of the bill by including "child study and treatment centers" in the proposed definition of "institutional education facilities." (2) Adds a representative of the DSHS to the Institutional Education Structure and Accountability Advisory Group (Advisory Group) proposed in the underlying bill. (3) Excludes institutional education providers at facilities operated by or under the jurisdiction of the DSHS from rules related to mandatory reviews and assessments for admitted youth that the underlying bill obligates the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) to adopt.
