2013 Senate Bill 5316: Adopting a model policy to require a third person to be present during interviews

Directs the Washington State School Directors' Association to adopt a model policy regarding the process by which the Department of Social and Health Services and law enforcement agencies may interview children. Current law provides that reasonable efforts be made to include a third party in any interview so long as the presence of the third party will not jeopardize the course of the investigation.   Official Text and Analysis.
