2013 House Bill 1125: Concerning registered sex offenders in adult family homes
Introduced by Rep. Christopher Hurst (Enumclaw) (D) on January 16, 2013
Requires agencies with jurisdiction over sex offenders to notify the Department of Social and Health Services’ Aging and Disability Services Administration that a sex offender will be seeking residence in an adult family home three months prior to the release of a sex offender. The administration must in turn notify all licensed adult family homes. If a sex offender is admitted to an adult family home, the home is required to notify all residents, as well as a family member of each resident if possible. This act requires special training for adult family homes which serve sex offenders. This act directs the Department to develop rules to provide extra payments to adult family homes for each sex offender they serve that is a Medicaid resident.   Official Text and Analysis.
