2007 Senate Joint Resolution 8203: Amending the Constitution to provide for a simple majority of voters voting to authorize a school district bond measure.

To propose an amendment to the Washington State Constitution. The amendment would allow local school district bonds to pass with a simple majority approval by the voters. Currently, the state Constitution requires schools bonds to receive over 60% voter approval. This resolution would amend the state Constitution if approved by two-thirds of the Legislature and a majority of the voters in the next general election.
