2005 House Bill 2180: Issuing bonds for outdoor recreation purposes

To authorize the state finance committee to issue general obligation bonds of the state of Washington in the sum of five hundred million dollars for the purpose of providing funds for acquisition, preservation, and development of recreation areas and facilities by the state. A state tax will be imposed on the admission to any state park or recreation area, measured by the amount of admission charge. A one percent tax will be charged on the admission in 2005, three percent in 2007, and five percent tin 2009. Funds from the tax are to be deposited into the parks and outdoor recreation enhancement bond repayment account.   Official Text and Analysis.
