2005 House Bill 1498: Prohibiting the release of barred owls
Introduced by Rep. Brian Blake (Aberdeen) (D) on January 26, 2005
To declare that it is unlawful for any private citizen or public employee to release from captivity anywhere in the state a barred owl or a barred owl/spotted owl hybrid that has been captured alive pursuant to the authority granted in a federal permit. A violation of this act shall be punished as a natural resource infraction.   Official Text and Analysis.
