2012 House Bill 2198: Modifying provisions concerning renewable energy system cost recovery

Modifies current public utility tax laws to provide more options for renewable energy system cost recovery. Specifically, this act provides the same benefits for certain energy storage facilities that currently exist for renewable energy systems.   Official Text and Analysis.

Removes energy storage provisions relating to the Renewable Energy Investment Cost Recovery Incentive Program. Electric utilities are required to include an assessment of energy storage systems on the utility and distributed generation scale in their integrated resource plans or resource plans.
