2011 House Bill 1913: Making criminal gang intimidation of a law enforcement officer a crime

Introduced by Rep. Brad Klippert, (R-Kennewick) (R) on February 9, 2011, makes criminal gang intimidation of a law enforcement officer a class B felony. Criminal gang intimidation includes any action taken by a street gang member attempts to cause fear to a law enforcement officer by his or her actions. This act also includes law enforcement officers, corrections officers, firefighters, and paramedics, and any of their family members, as targets triggering the offense.
