2011 House Bill 1011: Concerning earned release time for certain jail inmates
Introduced by Rep. Sherry Appleton (Poulsbo) (D) on January 10, 2011
Allows a corrections agency to establish a program for offenders to receive earned release. Under this measure earned release programs may provide offenders with more than one-third of a reduced sentence, but not more than 50 percent reduction in total sentence. This act also removes “early” from “earned early release” in current state law.   Official Text and Analysis.
