2007 Senate Bill 5049: Creating a new home warranty.

To require new homes to have a minimum set of warranties by the home builder. Defective materials and workmanship would be under warranty for two years. Electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems would be under warranty for three years. Damage due to weather penetration would be under warranty for five years. Structural defects would be under warranty for ten years. The warranty would be transferred to the new owners if the home is sold. Exclusion are provided.   Official Text and Analysis.
