2007 House Bill 1728: Promoting a coordinated shellfish aquaculture regulatory process.

To develop and promote a comprehensive and efficient shellfish aquaculture regulatory process, informed by research, that protects the state's environment, natural resources, and recreational opportunities. The bill would create the Shellfish Aquaculture Regulatory Efficiency Committee. The committee would be asked to integrate current state and local government environmental standards and regulations into an efficient and consistent regulatory process. The committee would not have the authority to create new environmental standards or regulations. See companion SB 5645.   Official Text and Analysis.
