2007 House Bill 1706: Concerning jurisdiction under the Indian gaming regulatory act.

To continue federal jurisdiction over legal disputes between the state and Native American Indian tribes concerning the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988. In 2001, the Legislature consented legal jurisdiction to the federal courts that relates to state and tribal gaming compact disputes. The consent is set to expire July 29, 2007. HB 1706 repeals the expiration date making the consent permanent. See companion SB 5055.   Official Text and Analysis.
