2007 House Bill 1693: Modifying time periods for collective bargaining by state ferry employees.

To amend the time state ferry employees may enter into collective bargaining. Under the bill, negotiations may begin after February 1st of every even numbered year. The bill goes on to propose the agreements must conclude by October 1st of the even number year. See companion HB 1693.   Official Text and Analysis.

To add the procedure and time frames for selection of an interest arbitrator. The substitute specifies that the parties must agree to use the American Arbitration Association for selection of a neutral chair, and restores current law regarding modifying time periods by mutual agreement.
