2007 House Bill 1356: Authorizing purchase of brand name drugs when cost effective for all state purchased health care programs.
Introduced by Rep. Eileen Cody (West Seattle) (D) on January 17, 2007
To require the purchase of brand name drugs when the cost is below that of the generic brand drug. The bill recognizes that after rebates and coupons are factored in the price of a band name drug, its cost may be lower than the price of a generic brand. If that occurs, the name brand drug should be purchased. See companion SB 5565.   Official Text and Analysis.
