2005 House Bill 1493: Designation of aquatic investment properties

To authorize the department of natural resources to purchase and sell certain filled tidelands and shorelines assuming this would not cause loss of aquatic ecological functions, public access opportunities, or interfere with water-dependent activities and businesses. Designates five-hundred thousand dollars from the aquatic sustaining investments account to be given to the department of natural resources for the project. To change one of the criteria for determining when an aquatic investment property is eligible for sale by having the DNR determine through an economic analysis that selling the property is more advantageous than retaining the property.
