2013 Senate Bill 5370: Implementing the recommendation of the developmental disabilities service system task force relating to community living safeguards

Provides a process for the Department of Social and Health Services to certify community residential programs. This act increases the enforcement actions that the Department can take against providers of residential services and provides a process for handling stop placement. This act mandates that when a person is admitted to a residential habilitation center the Department shall develop an individual habilitation plan that includes a plan for discharge of that resident back to the community, and makes other reforms.   Official Text and Analysis.
