2012 House Bill 2237: Concerning the compensation of port district employees

This act requires port commissioners to give the public three months notice whenever they intend to hire an employee with a salary equal to or greater than that of the Governor. Port commissioners must publish the information in local newspapers and make it available to local television stations. Furthermore, port commissioners must hold three public meetings of the port commission with three weeks advance notice to the public before each. This act requires that port commissioners submit a written report to the state legislature detailing and nature of and warrant for the proposed salary.   Official Text and Analysis.
