2011 Senate Bill 5564: Promoting the development and construction of nuclear energy facilities

To establish goals for the expansion of nuclear energy facilities. This act requires an expedited permitting process for nuclear energy facilities through the Department of Ecology, if the Governor and Legislature consent to the expedited process. This act establishes a Nuclear Energy Joint Legislative Task Force to study the feasibility of pursuing additional nuclear-generated power in Washington.
