2011 House Bill 1763: Improving state government ethics and integrity

Authorizes the Legislative Ethics Board to develop a plan of accountability for legislators and their staff. This act allows the Board to seek outside evaluations, studies, and recommendations for improvement. This act grants the same authority to the Executive Ethics Board to take the same actions regarding statewide elected officials in state agencies. This act creates the Governor’s Integrity and Ethics Awards Program to reward public or private entities with the best ethics and integrity programs. This act requires all state officers and employees to attend annual ethics training. This act also requires the State Auditor to conduct a performance audit of the Executive Ethics Board every four years beginning January 1, 2012.   Official Text and Analysis.
