2011 House Bill 1605: Requiring recipients of public funds for housing to provide an application preference for qualified disabled veterans

Requires any government entity providing affordable housing incentive programs to ensure that at least ten percent of housing units developed using the incentives are offered to qualified disabled veterans. This act provides that the housing units need not be held open if there are not a sufficient number of disabled veteran applicants. This act creates procedural guidelines and reporting requirements to implement and track the progress of this program.   Official Text and Analysis.
