2010 Senate Bill 6846: Concerning enhanced 911 emergency communications services

To make changes to the enhanced 911 emergency communication services. The bill imposes a state enhanced 911 excise tax on all interconnected voice over internet protocol service lines in the state. The bill also increases the state and county enhanced 911 excise tax and creates the county enhanced 911 excise tax account. The bill revises the duties of the state enhanced 911 coordination office and removes the expiration of the enhanced 911 advisory committee.   Official Text and Analysis.
