Phil Rockefeller, (D-Kitsap County) (D) on January 15, 2009, to create an integrated response strategy that would coordinate a state response between local and state government on climate change issues. This act creates a climate impact teams among state agency participants and shall review science and technical information relevant to providing a state response to climate change. The climate impact team shall deliver a report to the Legislature by December 1, 2011 regarding how the state could better prepare to respond to climate change. This bill makes other changes and modifications necessary for the creation and support of the climate change team.
