2009 House Bill 1163: regarding the construction of fish passage projects

Directs the Department of Fish and Wildlife to analyze and certify qualifying plans for juvenile salmon passage. Plans are qualified if they, among other things, provide for the best technology available for safe outbound passage, designed to be constructed in a manner that offers maximum protection of wildlife during construction, and with minimal cost. Salmon passage projects are exmpt from permitting processes and requirements. Also covers guidelines for renewable energy considerations and safety modifications of water diversion devices to offer the most protection possible.   Official Text and Analysis.
