2008 Senate Bill 6181: Providing for appointments to the county canvassing board

To remove the provision which allows the chair of a county legislative body in a county with a population of over one million to designate an employee of the legislative body to serve on the canvassing board. Changes the membership of a county canvassing board in a county with a population of over one million as follows: One member and an alternate designee is appointed by the chair of the county central committee of the political party whose candidate is elected governor at the most recent election; one member and an alternate designee is appointed by the chair of the county central committee of the political party whose candidate for governor receives the second highest number of votes at the most recent election; and one member, and an alternate designee, is appointed upon mutual agreement by the other two appointed canvassing board members. Corrects the membership on canvassing boards in other statutes to reflect membership changes.
