2007 Senate Bill 5410: Creating postsecondary opportunity programs.

To create the “Opportunity Grant Program.” Low-income Washington residents enrolled in a college workforce education program would be eligible to receive a grant. Grants would cover tuition, fees, and provide $1,000 for books and supplies per year. Colleges would receive $1,500 for each grant participant subject to state appropriations.
