2007 Senate Bill 5374: Allowing the exclusion of certain people from licensed gambling premises.

To allow the State to prevent certain people to enter a licensed gambling establishment. The State Gambling would maintain a list of people that would pose a threat to the State or to licensed gambling. The bill defines several characteristics that would qualify, including professional or career offenders or persons involved in organized crime. See companion HB 1346.   Official Text and Analysis.

Substitute offered to the Senate Labor, Commerce, Research and Development Committee on February 5, 2007
To remove the provision permitting a person to be placed on the exclusion list if the Gambling Commission determines the person poses a threat to the interests of the state, licensed gambling, or both. The substitute bill also clarifies the language stating that a person may not be placed on the exclusion list because of a discriminatory reason by adding the classes of people subject to the Human Rights Commission's jurisdiction.
