To amend policies regarding background checks for school employees or contractors. The bill would exempt school contractors from the background check requirement if the contractor will not have regularly scheduled unsupervised access to children. The bill would also require background checks for employees at the Washington State Schools for the Blind and Deaf. See companion HB 1469.   Official Text and Analysis.
