To create the “Office of Public Guardianship.” The office would be run by an administrator appointed by the Supreme Court. The office would be established to promote the availability of guardianship services for individuals who need them and for whom adequate services may otherwise be unavailable. See companion HB 1130. To establish an office of public guardianship to promote the availability of guardianship services for individuals who need them and for whom adequate services may otherwise be unavailable. The substitute bill also requires minimum standards of practice for public guardians must be adopted by the Office and any public guardian providing services must be certified by the Certified Professional Guardian Board.
