2007 Senate Bill 5127: Creating a rockfish research program.

To create the Rockfish Research and Stock Assessment Program through the Department of Fish and Wildlife. The purpose of the program would be to conduct research on certain critically depressed rockfish species. The program would be funded through a $35 surcharge on salmon charters from 2008 – 2010. A .35-cent surcharge on fishing licenses would also be imposed from 2008-2010. See companion HB 1076.   Official Text and Analysis.
