2007 House Bill 1643: Updating rail transit safety plan provisions to comply with federal regulation.

To add a system emergency preparedness plan to the list of conditions that cities must comply with if they own or operate a rail fixed guideway system. The bill also requires the plan to be filed with the State Department of Transportation (DOT) 180 days prior to beginning operations or amending an existing plan. The bill also gives the DOT the authority to set and impose annual fees to pay for the plan. The fees would be paid by the owners and operators of the fixed guideway system.
