2007 House Bill 1564: Creating a sales and use tax exemption to encourage the purchase of motor vehicles that reduce air pollution.

To exempt the purchase of a new vehicle from sales tax if the trade-in vehicle does not meet certain emission standards. The trade-in vehicle has to be more than 15 years old. The bill also defines other criteria that must be met to qualify, including limiting the exemption to only the first two thousand dollars of tax paid on the purchase price.   Official Text and Analysis.
