2007 House Bill 1394: Requiring a plan to encourage medical students to work with patients with developmental disabilities.

To require the University of Washington medical school to develop a plan to train students to work with patients with developmental disabilities. The plan would include incentives for students to undertake the training. The medical school would present the plan, including costs, to the appropriate committees of the Legislature no later than November 30, 2007.   Official Text and Analysis.

To eliminate the requirement that the University of Washington develop and present to the Legislature a plan to train students to work with patients with disabilities. Instead, if the Legislature appropriates funds for the purpose, grants may be available to students or faculty for research or training projects that focus on improving services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
