  • Introduced by Rep. Mary Helen Roberts, (D-Edmonds) on January 20, 2006, to remove requirements for WorkFirst recipients to undergo mandatory parenting skills training, job readiness training, course study for high school diploma or GED, or volunteering in a child care facility. Instead, a caseworker will assist the recipient in identifying and accessing appropriate instruction, training, or counseling that has the purpose of improving parenting skills or child well-being.
