2006 House Bill 2705: Increasing penalties for injuring emergency workers
Introduced by Rep. Bill Hinkle, (R-Cle Elum) (R) on January 12, 2006
To list injuring an emergency worker as a class C felony. Reckless driving causing an injured emergency worker will result in the suspension of a license for more than 90 days. Assaulting an emergency worker who is trying to do their duties will be assault in the third degree.   Official Text and Analysis.
