2005 Senate Bill 6080: Addressing the costs of transporting offender property
Introduced by Sen. Margarita Prentice, (D-Renton) (D) on March 7, 2005
To provide that the the superintendent has the authority to determine the types and amounts of property that convicted persons may possess in department of corrections facilities. Convicted persons are responsible for the costs of transporting their excess property. If a convicted person fails to pay for the cost of transporting their excess property within ninety days from the date of transfer, the property will be presumed abandoned.
