2007 Senate Bill 5420: Requiring public agencies to post certain information to their web sites.

To require all public agencies that manage a website to post certain information. The information includes all ordinances, rules, regulations, orders or directives and minutes of all regular and special meetings of the governing body. The website must also contain meeting dates and names of the governing body.   Official Text and Analysis.

To add a requirement that the agenda of all regular meetings of the governing board of every public agency, special purpose district, and any municipality that owns or maintains a web site must be posted 72 hours before a meeting. The substitute bill also adds a requirement that the agenda of all special or emergency meetings must be posted 24 hours before a meeting and the posting of agendas must indicate if the agenda is in draft form. The bill also changes the requirement that the minutes of all regular and special meetings must be posted within 15 business days after a meeting. The original bill required posting within five days.
