2011 Senate Bill 5063: Authorizing motorcycles to display special license plates
Introduced in the Senate on January 12, 2011
To allow motorcycles to display a special license plate by changing statutory language from “passenger” vehicles to “motor” vehicles that are required to display one or two plates. Special license plates in existing language include purple heart recipients, Pearl Harbor survivors and other commemorative occasions.   Official Text and Analysis.

Requires the Department of Licensing to issue special license plates to motorcycles, such as the Purple Heart, Pearl Harbor Survivor, etc. The bill also clarifies that commercial vehicles may not use the special plates.
