2013 House Bill 1127: Developing prefire mitigation plans
Introduced by Rep. Brad Klippert (Benton) (R) on January 16, 2013
Directs the State Fire Marshall to develop a statewide plan for prefire mitigation by adopting the principles and tenets of the Ready Set Go program developed by the International Association of Fire Chiefs. This act creates a Wildfire prevention Account to be administered by the State Treasurer and dedicated to funding prefire mitigation. The account is to be funded by five percent of the funds received by the state from taxes on fire insurance.   Official Text and Analysis.
