To require that in any criminal case, the prosecution must disclose in a timely manner its intent to rely on evidence provided by an informant or to introduce the testimony of an informant. The prosecution must also disclose in discovery factors such as the complete criminal history of the informant; any deals or promises made to the informant; and the substance of the statements made by the accused to the informant. This measure also requires that all statements by informants be electronically recorded. Official Text and Analysis.
