2003 House Bill 1540
Introduced by Rep. Dan Kristiansen (Snohomish) (R) on January 28, 2003
To stipulate that the construction of a replacement or new well at the location of the original well may be used for purposes other than municipal or domestic supply without application to the department. The construction of a replacement or a new well, used for municipal or domestic supply, at a location within two miles of the location of the original well must be allowed without application to the department. See also Companion HB 5023.   Official Text and Analysis.
Referred to the House Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee on January 29, 2003
But the bill did not receive a hearing by the cutoff date so it is considered a “dead bill” (although technically the bill could become active at any time during the 2003-2004 session).
