    2011 House Bill 1362 (Addressing homeowner foreclosures)

    Introduced in the House on January 19, 2011, to amend the "meet and confer" requirement to, among other things, repeal the expiration date, make it applicable to all deeds of trust for owner-occupied residential real property, and expand the time period in which the borrower can meet with the beneficiary. Establishes foreclosure mediation for borrowers referred to mediation by housing counselors or attorneys

    The vote was 83 in favor, 13 opposed and 2 not voting

    I hope this bill will bring a better solution to the thousands of foreclosures we're dealing with today. Homeowners are facing some really though times but hopefully all these will pass, it's so important for us to keep our optimism...
