I'm not sure why any Republicans even bother voting in this state legislature since the overwhelming majority of their ideas, their objections, and their amendments to proposed bills are never heard and/or voted down by the Democrats.

We truly do live in a one-party state ruled by extreme liberal partisans.

Our founders must be rolling in their graves.

Now the race is on to see how many favored groups can avoid the increased taxes and fees originally suggested in this bill.

I still haven't seen any suggestions for raising taxes on liquor. Doing so would bring in a huge revenue stream. But this is one of those unhealthy sins that most of those in the legislature probably imbibe in so they wouldn't consider raising the price of something they enjoy. Just raise the price of those products the little guy enjoys such as candy, gum, and tobacco. (Can't have the peons enjoy lfie's small pleasures.)

Not surprised the bill description doesn't provide a little more truth in advertising - suggest the bill should read "modifies excise tax laws to preserve funding for State Printing Office, OMWBE and it's cadre of diversity officers spread throughout state agencies in defiance of Intiative 200, State Liquor Stores, and to maintain and raise a rate of pay and benefits not available to most workers in the state."

But that wouldn't sound nearly as high a priority, now would it?
