Re: 2010 House Bill 2893 (Changing school levy provisions)

I feel that changing school levy provisitions is a bad idea. Currently we are in a recession with no end in sight. Increasing the percentage of monies that can be raised through levies help to increase financial hardships to peaple who are already having a tough time. Quite offen when school districts are short on funds they want to pass a new levi. I have witnessed school districts threating to close popular and needed programs if a levy isn't passed while there programs that have proven to be worthless are left in tact. I feel that school districts need to close these programs that are of no benifit to the school or its students before asking the community for more money. the schol districts need to quit threatening to close needed programs if levys don't pass when they have other means to save monies without hurting the qualiy of education thats needs to be provided.
