Tolls were an essential part of the financing of the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge, the most successful traffic congestion reduction project in the Puget Sound area in 30 years. Without tolls, there is not enough money in the budget to finance the improvements to the I-90 and 520 bridges or the Alaskan Way Viaduct. Without tolls, these facilities will continue to be congested for decades to come.
This bill deserves the support of any one who drives in the Puget Sound area. Good for Senator Kastama.
