The Quality of this bill is easily established by its clause barring the peoples right to even bring it to a vote. Obviously the select few who would promote this bill and their agenda fear that the public may have take offense at their plans to do away with the publics input.  Now why would the special interest lobbyists press our legislators to bring forth a bill that precludes the voters from having their say ? Hmmmm?

SB 5127 needs to be rejected. It is time this state government cames to the realiztion that the need for fish population management should be managed by responsible commisioners who have the intestinal fortitude to place fish first. They should follow the fish management plans in Alaska where fish escapment is of the up most importance. After escapment is reach to assure propagation of the fish returning that year, then the fishery can be opened to all fishing groups, Sportsman, Commercial and Native American. If these actions are not taken fish that are a vital part of the states economy will be lost forever.

voters passed Referendum 45 in 1995 or 1996 with more than 60% favorable vote to continue the old Wildlife Commission as the Fish and Wildlife commission.  It passed in every County of the State indicating broad support. We now have a few legislators and lobbist working to over turn the will of the people without a vote of the people.

I am disappointed that this passed the senate. It appears that our current senators have little concern for the will of the people. We are not a socialist republic (yet), but a democratic republic.

Mr Sheldon, I will be voting for you opponent in the next election in the hops that he or she will have more concern for representing the people.

Senate Bill 5127    I hope the senators that voted yes on this bill are just to young to know that in 96 the people of this state overwelmingly voted and approved the 9 person commission.  If you have no knowledge of it ,it is your only excuse. Any one else should be made to send in their resignation !   Do you not respect the Will of the people?

Obvoiusly the politicians went out and found a person somewhere ( in a cardboard box?) who thought like their agenda demanded and they call that the will of the people. Mostly our legislators dont care what " the will of the people" is. Its such an inconvenience to consider " the will of the people" when your self serving agenda might be interrupted by it. Besides in the words of that quintessential world leader/ socialist..."I care not who votes or how they vote as long as we control who counts the votes" J. Stalin.....
