No shoes, no shirt, no service, unless you remove your shirt to breastfeed. There is a time and a place for everything and this bill needs to be bottled up.

Breastfeeding in public is disgusting.  Find a discreet location out of the public eye.  What other bodily "functions" are going to be openly viewed?

Feeding an infant nature's perfect food as intended is beautiful, natural, and healthy.  Expecting mothers to hide in restrooms to breastfeed is pathetic and backward.  Would YOU want to eat your lunch in a bathroom?  Fortunately, I think most Americans are finally moving toward a healthy attitude about breastfeeding and away from some of the backwards comments posted on this site.

Who said anyone had to do this in the bathroom?  Find someplace appropriate.  I've seen some pretty nice bathrooms with adjoining "suites" nearby that look more like a lounge than a bathroom. If you're a property owner, you're already contributing to your local library, how about a "Mothers Room" for just this purpose?  Whatever happened to *** feeding at home?  That would be the most likely place to take care of serving up the "perfect food".

Obviously you are not the current or recent parent of a newborn.  Newborns need to eat every 1-2 hours and become VERY upset (understandably!) if not fed when they're hungry.  Newborns are not known for being patiently hungry while mommy searches for a luxurious bathroom "suite" to hide in for feeding.  (Very difficult to find when you need it...trust me, I've tried!)  An appropriate place to feed yourself is an appropriate place to feed a hungry, wailing newborn.  Confining breastfeeding mothers to feeding their babies at home is akin to saying "just use formula."  Even the formula companies agree that breastmilk is best for babies.  By the way, did you REALLY type *** in place of breastfeeding?  Wake up...breasts are not scary, sexual objects.  Breasts are intended for breastfeeding babies.

Relax olymom. Get over it that no wants to look at your mammory glands.  This site automatically edits out any unacceptable words and apparently *** is one of them, so, no I did not type in ****.  Stay at home and feed your child.

Relax RUTHLESSma: What happened in your childhood to make you so offended that a mom wants to breastfeed her baby in public? If you want to do the world a favor legislate the ban on buttcracks, body piercings, and sagging.....

Please, you see more boob in the window of a Victoria's Secret store than you do when a woman is breastfeeding. And if you honestly think a woman can only feed her baby at home or in an "appropriate" place, you obviously are not a parent. Try taking a newborn out for the day sometime! I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. I feed my baby when she's hungry no matter where I am. I bet if you walked by me you wouldn't even notice my "boob hanging out". You'd probably think I was rocking my baby to sleep. There is absolutely nothing disgusting about breastfeeding a child. That idea is just a product of a warped and over sexualized society. Try traveling around the world. You see a lot more body parts hanging out in other countries than you do here and nobody seems to care. It's a normal, natural and perfectly healthy part of life. I have no respect for people who oppose this bill and who are against a mother's right to give her child the healthiest possible start in life.

It is amusing that someone could possibly relate the feeding of an infant to defecating, urinating, or having intercourse in public. It violates no code of health, safety, or decency. It is not obtrusive. It is not perverse nor explicit. More often then not there is very little, if any, bosom showing - and regardless of how the mother is dressed the only area of the body which is currently deemed unfit for viewing in America is quite certainly covered by a child's mouth during the act of nursing. Breastfeeding is a healthy part of being a loving and skilled parent. That's not something I feel needs to be kept to myself.

Anyone who is uncomfortable with witnessing someone nurturing their child is free to look away at any time. I wont follow you, promise.
