Why not?  We're supposed to be able to speak it to become citizens.

As an American citizen I whole heartedly support English as the official language of not only the State of Washington, but for

    the entire U.S.

People immigrate to the U.S. willingly, then why not willingly learn our language and assimilate into our society.

It is sad that we even have to pass a law that says english should be the official language of the state. That being said I do support this bill.
